Foye is a sacred, indigenous tree from the south of Chile. The flower symbolises women and the power of giving life.

Brilliant pale yellow with pleasing aromas of peaches with undertones of citrus fruits; fresh and fruity on the palate with a zesty, racy acidity driving things along. Excellent as aperitif on a sunny afternoon by the poolside or the beach.

It makes a nice pairing for seafood and light fish like a lightly acidic ceviche.

More Information

Chile is one of South America’s most significant wine producers. It produces a vast range of wine styles grown in a surprising range of terroirs.

Originally planted with international varieties such as Merlot and Cabernet, it was discovered in the 1990s that much of the country’s Merlot was actually a nearly extinct variety called Carménère.

Sauvignon Blanc

Sauvignon Blanc is found all over the world, although it probably orignates from south west France, hence the name which comes from sauvage "wild" and blanc "white".

In cool climates it produces wines with flavours of grass, green peppers and nettles with some tropical fruit and floral notes. In warmer climates more tropical fruit notes such as peach are noticeable.

Nicolás Ríos, Viñas Familiares de Chile

The vineyards are located in the Maule Valley, specifically the sub-valley of San Javier, 300 km south of Santiago. The valley has an excellent climate and perfect soils for growing grapes.
