n 1939, young Haroldo ‘Don Lolo’ Falasco started selling wine from the front of his bike, he had ambition and a dream; he worked hard over the next few decades with ever greater success to the extent that today, Bodega Los Haroldos are one of Argentina’s leading family-owned wineries.
Chacabuco Torrontes is an unoaked Arbetinian white wine with a primary fruit character. The wine is named after the suburb of Buenos Aires where Don Lolo grew up.
The wine is made from 100% Torrontes, with the grapes harvested in Los Alamos, Maipú, Mendoza.
On the nose it has notes of peach, apricot and honeysuckle. The palate moves to flavours of passion fruit, honeyed lemon and orchard fruits.
Overall this is a well balanced South American wine which pairs perfectly with oven baked salmon or tagine with lemon and herbs.
It works wonderfully with Asian foods, particularly Thai.
