This wine comes from the top-class village of Puligny-Montrachet in Burgundy and is made from the Chardonnay grape. It has been aged in oak and has some spicy and vanilla notes. This wine is complex and elegant with flavours of ripe apples and lemons and a long after taste.

The wine leans toward finesse, freshness and minerality, rather than opulence. Superb.

The family estate was founded in 1919 by Fernand Morey, and then taken over by his son Marc in 1944, and again passed on to his daughter Marie-Josèphe and her husband, Bernard Mollard in 1977. Mr. Mollard does a beautiful job crafting the harvest from the property's nine hectares, using only 30% new casks during the élevage.

Chardonnay

One of the world’s most popular grapes, Chardonnay is made in a wide range of styles from lean, sparkling Blanc de Blancs to rich, creamy white wines aged in oak.

Depending on how ripe the grapes get, the flavour ranges from crips, clean citrus and green apple, to ripe peaches and tropical fruit.
