Huia Sauvignon Blanc 2018, Marlborough

Huia Sauvignon Blanc 2018, Marlborough

If you're not 100% satisfied

The grapes for this New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc white wine come from two estates: the sandy, stony loam soil of the Huia Vineyard and the clay-based Winsome Vineyard.

The grapes from Huia contribute subtle tropical notes whilst those from Winsome add the clean minerality and a limey, linear backbone.

Around 30% of the juice goes through a natural fermentation in French oak to add a little texture and complexity.

The wine was fermented using wild yeasts that are naturally present on the vines. This is a restrained and delicate Sauvignon Blanc. The palate is fine, well balanced and exhibits a classic minerality. This means you can enjoy it across a whole evening – one glass is never enough.

Elderflower and citrus dominate, with just a hint of the usual Marlborough passion fruit character. This wine is also surprisingly age-worthy.
