All of the Huxbear wines are named after mythological bears. Callisto (or Kalliste) translates as "most beautiful" and I can understand why Ben and Lucy decided this rosé would carry such a name.
It is a pale pink, full flavoured wine, off dry rosé perfect for a goddess.
The wine is made from a blend of 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Pinot Meunier grapes. The Huxbear vineyard sits in the beautifiul Teign Valley, Devon, so it's no surprise that it has characteristacally Devonian overtones of strawberries and cream.
This wine is best served chilled, you could have it with barbeque food or just sit back on a summers day and enjoy it on its own - imagining that you are a most beautiful goddess.
