Vibrant and aromatic with delicious generous fresh apricot, white peach and hints of jasmine on the nose. On the palate it has tight, white, fleshy stone fruit with a balancing sandy texture. Bright acidity and minerality delivers a delicious balance.
Created by Ryan Booysen. Using traditional winemaking techniques, Ryan has sourced this 40 year old bush vine Chenin from hidden corners of the Cape. This wine is made of 80% Chenin Blanc and 20% Viognier, where part of the Chenin Blanc is wild yeast fermented and kept on the yeast lees for as long as possible in order to achieve a long, juicy and rounded pallet with a crisp fresh finish.
Perfect matched with grilled prawns with plenty of garlic and chilli, whole lemon sole fried in butter and also delicate freshwater fish dishes.
