The grapes for White & Sea are sourced from 40 year old vines in vineyards in Gascony, France. The wine is made from a blend of 70% Colombard and 30% Sauvignon Blanc. The cooler climate in this part of France is perfect for these indigenous grapes.
The grapes are harvested at night to give them added protection. When the fermentation is completed, the wine stays on the fine lees for a couple of months, a process which adds texture and complexity.
This classic French white wine is dry and fresh. On the nose it is packed with citrus and tropical aromas. On the palate it has flavours of lemon, green apple and a hint of passion fruit.
All of this is balanced by refreshing acidity and a lovely zesty finish.
This is delicious chilled as an aperitif or perfect with seafood, chicken caesar salad or asparagus risotto.
