Once a well kept secret of the South of France, Picpoul is becoming a firm summer favourite white wine for those in the know.
Picpoul de Pinet is a great alternative to Pinot Grigio or Sauvignon Blanc, offering refreshing, dry white wines. Picpoul embodies the summer drinking spirit.
Stretching along the Thau lagoon to the west of the Mediterranean’s Golfe de Lyon Picpoul de Pinet is the largest white wine producing area in the Languedoc. It consists of a triangle bounded by Agde, Pézenas and Sète: a limestone plateau basking in the rising sun covered in highly perfumed garrigue, rows of vines, and scattered pine groves.
