A smooth, fruit-led California Pinot Noir with soft tannins and plenty of easy charm. Red cherry fruit, gentle spice and fresh acidity keep it balanced and approachable.
Made in Napa Valley by Fior di Sole, this reflects the softer, more open style of Californian Pinot Noir while keeping enough freshness to stay in shape. The name “Long Barn” nods to the agricultural roots of the winery and the surrounding landscape.
In the glass, expect cherry and bramble fruit with subtle sweet spice and a faint savoury edge. The palate is silky and rounded, with light tannins and lingering red fruit flavours carried by fresh acidity.
This is very much about drinkability rather than complexity. A useful Pinot for anyone looking for something smooth, generous and uncomplicated.
Best served lightly cool rather than warm.
Food Pairing
Good with roast chicken, pork dishes or charcuterie. Also works well with mushroom dishes, grilled salmon or lighter pasta recipes.

Pinot Noir
Pinot Noir is the holy grail grape for many winemakers, it is a difficult mistress, but when made well it shines.
Young Pinot Noir has delicious aromas of cherries, raspberries, and strawberries. With age it develops complexity and mystery. Older wines have the capacity to become a gamey style of wine, and the best examples show autumnal notes of truffles, mushrooms, and forest floor.
The United States has a short winemaking history, but what it lacks in age it makes up for with vigour.
It is the 4th biggest wine producer in the world. Every state has some wineries. Good, cool climate styles come from New York state, Oregon and Washington State. Warmer styles are found in California where Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon lead the way.
Fior di Sole – “Flower of the sun” – is a family wine company owned by Stefano Migotto and Valentina Guolo. Their wines are "made with all that we are, reflecting all that we’ve come from."
Their state of the art winery and botling facility is located in the heart of Napa Valley, producing exceptional quality wines throughout California but mostly from Napa Valley, Sonoma and North Coast.
