Burgundy
Burgundy, or Bourgogne, is one of the most celebrated wine regions in the world. Chablis, Gevrey-Chambertin, Mersault and Puligny Montrachet are just some of the famous villages in the region.
Over the centuries, Burgundy has become known for being the best land in the world for producing both Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, and it is for this reason that Burgundy wines have received such acclaim. There are four classifications, with improving quality, Regional, Villages, Premier (1er) Cru and Grand Cru.
