A Provence rosé with a bit more to it. Still pale, still dry, but with slightly more body than the usual examples. Fresh red fruit, a saline edge and a clean finish make it an easy, reliable bottle. Organic farming keeps things straightforward and balanced.
Sourced from vineyards in the Calanques area near Marseille, right on the Mediterranean coast, this picks up a subtle sea-spray character alongside its fruit. The blend of Grenache, Mourvèdre, Cinsault and Syrah is fermented in stainless steel to keep things focused. Expect notes of citrus, white peach and light red berries, with a mineral, slightly savoury edge and good acidity running through it.
The name “Les Calanques Bleues” comes from the coastal inlets that shape this stretch of shoreline. The vineyards are certified organic, farmed with a long-term view of soil health and balance. It shows in the wine as clarity rather than weight.
This is flexible. Chill it properly, or don’t worry too much and drop an ice cube in if that’s how you want to drink it. It holds together well either way.
Food Pairing
Grilled fish, salads, chicken and simple Mediterranean dishes all work well. Also good with lighter pasta or a spread of cold meats.

More Information
Provence, France
Provence is one of the oldest wine regions in France, with a history dating back over 2,600 years. The ancient Greeks were the first to introduce vine cultivation to the area in the 6th century BCE, and the Romans later expanded the region's viticulture.
Today, Provence is best known for its rosé wines, which account for over 80% of the region's wine production.
Found throughout northern Spain and southern France, there are three variants: Grenache Noir, Blanc and Gris.
Grenache Noir is the most common. It is generally spicy, berry-flavored and soft on the palate. Complex and intense notes of blackcurrants, black cherries, black olives, coffee, gingerbread, honey, leather, black pepper, tar, spices, and roasted nuts can also be found.
The philosophy of Laurent Max has always been based on love and respect for the Burgundy region. Cultivation of the vines, control of yields, manual harvesting, and sorting of the grapes at full maturity. Everything is done to extract the delicacy and subtlety of Chardonnay, the finesse and elegance of Pinot Noir. This authentic know-how is the fruit of a unique experience matured over six Generations.
