Mendoza is the biggest and most important of Argentina`s wine regions. Many early winemakers were of Italian origin and brought with them their native Barbera, Bonarda and Sangiovese. However, it is Malbec, originally from Bordeaux and the south west of France, that has established the most successful presence in Mendoza.
As you may have guessed from its name and label, the grapes for Punto Alto come from high altitude vineyards in the Mendoza region of Argentina. Sunshine is pure and warm; nights are much cooler.
This organically grown red wine Malbec, is a dark purple in colour with brambly mulberry and plum fruits and black cherries on the nose. The palate has great concentration with velvety texture, dark fruits and a hint of chocolate on the finish.
Just the ticket for summer barbecues with all the chargrilled offerings.
