Clairette, sometimes called Clairette Blanche, is an ancient grape variety. It is not widely planted and is now often found in white blends from France's Rhône Valley.
Clairette wines are often described as crisp and refreshing, with citrusy and floral notes. The high acidity in the grape adds a lively and zesty character to the wines.
