Roussanne is a white grape, originating from the Rhône valley in France where it is often used in blends such as Crozes-Hermitage, Hermitage and Saint-Joseph.
It is a late-ripening variety that produces powerful wines with aromas of fresh flowers, peaches, herbs, pears, spice, roasted nuts, and hints of pepper. It can also add a silky texture to wines.
