A blend of Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon made by the fourth generation of the Biotteau family, who have been farming their vineyards near Angers since 1938.
Beautiful, intense red color. The nose is complex, composed of red fruits such as cherries and strawberries as well as smoky aromas. The palate is supple and well-rounded, with a long and persistent finish and silky tannic structure. Aromas of ripe red fruits, think blackcurrant, cherries, and blackberries. There is also an alluring note of tomoto leaf.
Anjou Brissac pairs well with grilled meats and game. Try decanting this before servicng to allow the wine to reveal its full potential.

Loire Valley, France
The 600-mile stretch of the Loire River valley and its tributaries make up one of France's top wine regions. The wines include famous names such as Muscadet, Pouilly-Fumé, Vouvray, and Sancerre.
Best known for white wines, the most popular grape varieties are Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc, and Melon de Bourgogne. Red wines are made with Cabernet Franc and Gamay. Some of the best examples come from Saumur Champigny.
Established in the Libournais region of southwest France in the 17th century. Cardinal Richelieu later took cuttings to the Loire Valley where it's early ripening allowed it to thrive. It is also found thoughout Bordeaux and in the USA.
It typically produces pale red wine with a peppery perfume touched with tobacco, raspberry, bell pepper, cassis, and violets.
Charles‑Eusèbe Biotteau carries forward a proud family tradition in the heart of the Loire Valley, where vineyards have been tended for generations on the gentle slopes of Anjou. Working alongside his father, Pascal, Charles‑Eusèbe is passionate about expressing the unique character of their terroir.
Guided by sustainability and a deep respect for the land, Château d’Avrillé’s wines reflect both their heritage and a thoughtful vision for the future.
