A classic Loire Cabernet Franc with freshness, perfume and a gentle savoury edge. Medium-bodied and balanced, it combines bright red fruit with soft spice and light structure.
Domaine St Vincent sits between the Loire and Thouet rivers, where Pierre-Adrien and his family farm around 35 hectares focused on the region’s traditional varieties, Cabernet Franc and Chenin Blanc. This wine comes from 30-year-old Cabernet Franc vines grown around Saumur-Champigny.
The wine spends around six months in older oak barrels, adding texture rather than oak flavour. In the glass, expect redcurrant fruit alongside floral notes of violet and iris, with touches of liquorice and clove running through the finish.
This is drinking well now, with enough freshness and structure to develop further over the next few years.
Food Pairing
Very good with cured meats, roast chicken or fuller-flavoured cheeses. Also works well with mushroom dishes and lighter red meat dishes.

More Information
Loire Valley, France
The 600-mile stretch of the Loire River valley and its tributaries make up one of France's top wine regions. The wines include famous names such as Muscadet, Pouilly-Fumé, Vouvray, and Sancerre.
Best known for white wines, the most popular grape varieties are Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc, and Melon de Bourgogne. Red wines are made with Cabernet Franc and Gamay. Some of the best examples come from Saumur Champigny.
Established in the Libournais region of southwest France in the 17th century. Cardinal Richelieu later took cuttings to the Loire Valley where it's early ripening allowed it to thrive. It is also found thoughout Bordeaux and in the USA.
It typically produces pale red wine with a peppery perfume touched with tobacco, raspberry, bell pepper, cassis, and violets.
A third generation winegrower, Adrien's earliest memories are working the apple press and roasting chestnuts with his grandfather. This instilled a passion for the Saumur region and later a passion for wine.
Since then, Adrien has evolved his winemaking technique. He took over as winemaker from his father in 2014. He is proud of every bottle that leaves the winery and he can't wait to show them to you.
