This is a refined, expressive Pinot Noir from Burgundy, crafted to showcase the elegance and purity the region is famous for. Sourced from vineyards across Burgundy, the focus here is on balance, freshness and drinkability rather than overt power.
Louis Père et Fils Bourgogne Pinot Noir Grande Réserve opens with aromas of red cherry, raspberry and wild strawberry, complemented by subtle notes of dried herbs and gentle spice. The palate is silky and poised, with bright acidity, fine tannins and a lightly savoury edge that carries through to a clean, elegant finish.
Careful winemaking preserves the natural delicacy of Pinot Noir, with restrained oak ageing adding texture and complexity without masking the fruit. The result is a classic, understated Burgundy that feels authentic and true to its origins.
Food Pairings: A natural match for roast chicken, duck or pork, as well as mushroom-based dishes and lighter game. It also works beautifully with soft cheeses such as Brie or Camembert. Serve slightly cool to highlight its freshness and finesse.
An approachable yet characterful Burgundy Pinot Noir — ideal for those who appreciate subtlety, elegance and a clear sense of place.

Burgundy, France
Burgundy (or Bourgogne in French) is small in size, the Côte d'Or has about 8000 hectares under vine, yet its influence is immense. It is home to some of the best known and most expensive wines in the world. Look in the right places and there is great quality and superb value to be found.
The two major grapes are Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, though you can find small pockets of well-made Aligoté.
Pinot Noir is the holy grail grape for many winemakers, it is a difficult mistress, but when made well it shines.
Young Pinot Noir has delicious aromas of cherries, raspberries, and strawberries. With age it develops complexity and mystery. Older wines have the capacity to become a gamey style of wine, and the best examples show autumnal notes of truffles, mushrooms, and forest floor.
The philosophy of Laurent Max has always been based on love and respect for the Burgundy region. Cultivation of the vines, control of yields, manual harvesting, and sorting of the grapes at full maturity. Everything is done to extract the delicacy and subtlety of Chardonnay, the finesse and elegance of Pinot Noir. This authentic know-how is the fruit of a unique experience matured over six Generations.
