Bodegas San Valero has a long history in Cariñena making wine since 1944. They manage over 4,000 hectares of vineyard, 90% of which surrounds the winery just outside the village of Cariñena. The focus is on indigenous varieties Garnacha, Macabeo, Xarel-lo and Parellada, many of which are “old vine”, which benefit from rocky soils and extreme altitude. The result is Cava with great expression and complexity.
