Château Lynch-Moussas 2025 is a Cabernet-led Pauillac from a warm, dry and early-ripening vintage. A mild winter and dry spring brought early, even budburst, followed by quick flowering at the end of May. Summer was marked by limited rainfall and steady warmth, leading to an early and uniform veraison. Harvest began in the first days of September under favourable conditions, with Merlot picked between 4 and 8 September and Cabernet Sauvignon following from 15 to 19 September.
The blend is 77% Cabernet Sauvignon and 23% Merlot. Vinification starts with a short cold maceration to draw out colour and aromatics, followed by fermentation in stainless steel. Each parcel is handled separately to guide the final blend. The wine is aged for 16 to 18 months in oak barrels, with around 56% new oak.
Lynch-Moussas holds High Environmental Value (HVE) Level 3 certification, reflecting a focus on sustainable vineyard practices, biodiversity and measured use of resources.
The 2025 shows depth and precision. The château notes a dense, structured palate with fresh fruit, a touch of toasted oak and fine tannins. There is a balance here between ripeness and freshness, giving a wine with both weight and lift.
