La Loupe is a very approachable, fruit-driven red made from Grenache.
The grapes for this French red wine are grown in the Mediterranean vineyards of the Languedoc, an area well known for its ideal climate conditions. It is hot during the day and cooler at night enabling the vines to mature fruit well, whilst the Mistral and Tramontane winds help keep the vines healthy and low-yielding.
Modern winemaking ensures ripe summer fruit flavours are well balanced. The nose is peppery with herbal scents and juicy ripe fruit flavours typical of the Languedoc, together with a smooth texture and supple, mouthfilling finish.
A great accompaniment for simple meat dishes such as pizzas, pasta or chicken salads. Also enjoy it on its own as an aperitif or receiption wine.

Languedoc-Rousillon, France
The Languedoc is a vast region stretching across much of the south and Mediterranean and is France`s single largest vineyard entity for its Vins de Pays wines.
Within the Languedoc lie several distinctly identified Vins de Pays (including the l`Aude, Gard and Hérault) and many appellations that maintain traditional local blends and styles such as Minervois, Corbières, Pic Saint Loup and Fitou.
Found throughout northern Spain and southern France, there are three variants: Grenache Noir, Blanc and Gris.
Grenache Noir is the most common. It is generally spicy, berry-flavored and soft on the palate. Complex and intense notes of blackcurrants, black cherries, black olives, coffee, gingerbread, honey, leather, black pepper, tar, spices, and roasted nuts can also be found.
Established in 1967 by Maurice Grignon, the family winemaking and trading company originally specialised in the production and sale of wine-making materials. In 1992 the company was sold and became an Association of Cooperatives and started producing wines from Languedoc- Roussillon.
The name Foncalieu is made up of letters of villages in the region of l`Aude - Fonties de Aude, Capendu - ALzonne - Montolieu.
