Lyme Bay Shoreline Rosé 2025 is a pale, refreshing English rosé made from Bacchus and Pinot Noir grown in Kent. Bringing together the aromatic lift of Bacchus with the gentle red fruit character of Pinot Noir, it offers a bright, modern take on English rosé

Delicate aromas of red berries and white flowers lead into a light, crisp palate packed with summer berry fruit and subtle floral notes. Textured and well-balanced, it finishes fresh and clean, making it an easy wine to return to.

Shoreline Rosé is made from hand-harvested Bacchus and Pinot Noir sourced from Sandhurst in Kent. The grapes were chilled on arrival at the winery before being gently pressed together to extract their delicate salmon-pink colour. Fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks at cool temperatures to preserve the wine's aromatic freshness.

The wine was then aged on its fine lees before being bottled early to retain its youthful character. The result is a rosé that focuses on freshness, purity and drinkability rather than weight or richness.

Produced by Lyme Bay Winery in Devon, Shoreline Rosé reflects the increasingly confident style of modern English still wine, offering bright fruit, freshness and balance in a straightforward, enjoyable package.

Food Pairing

Serve chilled with pâté, spring risottos, courgette and feta tart, light salads or simply on its own on a warm afternoon. Its freshness and delicate fruit make it particularly versatile with lighter summer dishes.

Kent, England

Kent's winemakers are known for producing high-quality sparkling wines, which have won awards and garnered international acclaim. There are also excellent still wines being produced.

The industry is relatively small but growing, with many boutique wineries and vineyards offering visitors the chance to taste their wines and learn about the region's unique terroir.

Bacchus

The colder climate in England gives Bacchus higher acidity and lower yields than when grown elsewhere. English Bacchus wines often fall somewhere between the typical French and New Zealand styles of Sauvignon Blanc, although there are examples at either end of the spectrum.

Pinot Noir

Pinot Noir is the holy grail grape for many winemakers, it is a difficult mistress, but when made well it shines.

Young Pinot Noir has delicious aromas of cherries, raspberries, and strawberries. With age it develops complexity and mystery. Older wines have the capacity to become a gamey style of wine, and the best examples show autumnal notes of truffles, mushrooms, and forest floor.
