This is a super patio wine, ideal for drinking in the garden when the sun is shining. The nose is fresh lime citrus, with ripe stonefruit and tropical notes and hints of lemon grass. The palate is refreshing with green apple and ripe citrus characters. There is a cleansing acidity and a nice streak of minerality on the finish.

It's made by JD Rossouw, one of our favourite winemakers. JD was born to make wine: whilst pregnant his mother helped with pressings and punch downs in their family winery, enriching JDs formative senses with winery life. His earliest memories are of the “floral aromas in the winery while the fermentations were happening”. JD always wanted to be a winemaker and it all came so naturally whilst helping his father in their Paarl winery and studying winemaking at Stellenbosch University.

Perfect to pair with Peri Peri chicken or asparagus and lemon risotto.

South Africa

South African wine has a history dating back to 1659 with the first bottle being produced in Cape Town by its founder and governor Jan van Riebeeck.

South Africa is located at the tip of Africa with its wine regions located near the coastal influences of the Atlantic and Indian Oceans. These regions have a mostly Mediterranean climate that is marked by intense sunlight and dry heat.

Sauvignon Blanc

Sauvignon Blanc is found all over the world, although it probably orignates from south west France, hence the name which comes from sauvage "wild" and blanc "white".

In cool climates it produces wines with flavours of grass, green peppers and nettles with some tropical fruit and floral notes. In warmer climates more tropical fruit notes such as peach are noticeable.

A bottle of this wine was included in a hamper we received as a Christmas present. It was so nice we decided to buy more! It has not got the acidly taste that some other Sauvignon Blanc wines have. Highly recommended

We had this in a restaurant and immediately searched for it and found it here So pleased as it is a light and delicate wine which goes well with fish.

The parcel was a gift for my daughter's birthday. Chose South African wines as I knew them from my own wine drinking experience.
