A straightforward Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc that does exactly what you expect. Bright citrus, tropical fruit and sharp acidity, all kept clean and focused.
Made with fruit from a mix of vineyard sites, including older vines, this is shaped by careful picking and experienced handling in the cellar. Fermentation is kept simple in stainless steel to preserve the fresh aromatics and keep the style direct.
In the glass, expect lemon zest, lime and a touch of kiwifruit. The palate is lively and fruit-forward, with good intensity and a crisp, refreshing finish. It’s a style Marlborough does well, and this is a reliable example.
This is easy to reach for. Clean, expressive and consistent from vintage to vintage.
Food Pairing
Good with seafood, grilled fish or chicken. Also works well with herb-led dishes or anything with a bit of freshness and acidity.

More Information
New Zealand
New Zealand is a newcomer to the wine world. As recently as 1960 the country had just 400 hectares of vines.
The country's two islands (North Island and South Island) cover an enourmous area, encompassing many possibilities. The maritime climate is influenced by the strong prevailing winds off the Pacific Ocean and the striking mountainous terrain.
Sauvignon Blanc is found all over the world, although it probably orignates from south west France, hence the name which comes from sauvage "wild" and blanc "white".
In cool climates it produces wines with flavours of grass, green peppers and nettles with some tropical fruit and floral notes. In warmer climates more tropical fruit notes such as peach are noticeable.
Years of wine industry experience and a finely tuned palate give James the knowledge, skill and attention to detail to ensure Snapper Rock delivers exceptional quality and amazing value.
Snapper Rock is from the cool climate of the most southern valley of the Marlborough region, which adds something special not found anywhere else in Marlborough.
