£216.66 Case of 6 (In Bond)

Domaine de Chevalier Rouge 2025 is a finely balanced Pessac-Léognan from an early and warm vintage that retained freshness throughout the growing season. Winter rains replenished reserves before a dry spring and hot summer led to even flowering and steady ripening. Cooler nights through the ripening period helped preserve freshness and aromatic detail.

The blend is 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot, harvested between 11 and 26 September. Vinification takes place parcel by parcel across stainless steel, concrete and wooden vats, with ageing in barrel for around 18 months using roughly 35% new oak.

Owned by the Bernard family since 1983 and run by Olivier Bernard, Domaine de Chevalier is one of the leading Cru Classé de Graves estates. The 2025 combines ripe red and black fruit with spice, fine tannins and the estate’s trademark balance between depth and restraint.

The château describes the wine as velvety, fresh and refined, with tannins that are dense but polished. There is concentration here, but also energy and precision, giving the wine a long and composed finish.

Likely to begin drinking well from the early 2030s and continue developing over the following two decades.
