£139.80 Case of 6

Château de Fieuzal Rouge 2025 is a Cabernet-led Pessac-Léognan with freshness and precision at the centre of the style. The blend is 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot and 10% Petit Verdot, harvested between 4 and 26 September.

The nose shows pure blackcurrant fruit with subtle notes of white pepper and light spice. On the palate, the texture is silky at first before tightening into a finer, more powdery structure, with the freshness of Cabernet Sauvignon carrying the wine through a long finish.

Fieuzal is owned by the Quinn family and farmed with a strong environmental focus. The estate holds HVE 3 and ISO 14001 certifications, alongside Bee Friendly certification recognising biodiversity work in and around the vineyard.

Winemaker Stephen Carrier describes the 2025 as a wine of aromatic purity and balance, combining ripe fruit with freshness and precision rather than sheer weight.

Drinking Window

Likely to start drinking well from the early 2030s and continue developing over the following 15 to 20 years.

Food Pairing

Works well with roast lamb, beef, duck and dishes with earthy flavours such as mushrooms or lentils.

Cabernet Sauvignon

One of the world's most widely recognized red wine grape varieties. It is grown in nearly every major wine producing country among a diverse spectrum of climates from Australia and British Columbia, Canada to Lebanon's Beqaa Valley.

The classic profile is full-bodied with high tannins and noticeable acidity that contributes to aging potential.

Brenda & Lochlann Quinn, Château de Fieuzal

Fieuzal’s history goes back over 400 years, when it was harvested by a handful of modest wine growers. It was named ‘Fieuzal’ in 1864, after ‘Lovely Fieuzal’, the last descendent of the Fieuzal family.

The legendary 1893 vintage sat on the table of Pope Léon XIII in the Vatican and its red became Grand Cru Classé in 1959 - now recognised as one of the finest Grand Crus of Bordeaux.
