This rosé from the south of France has a delicate pale pink colour with salmon hints. The deliciously perfumed nose combines hints of strawberries and raspberries and more floral aromas of rose and orange flower. The palate is fruity and silky, wonderfully balanced, enlivened by hints of citrus zest. Lovely long-lasting aromas with hints of fresh mint. This is a great alternative to Provence rosé.

The grapes come from selected north-facing plots with the best balance between soil, plant and microclimate. The Versant Grenache vines are situated on sunny hills near Ensérune in Languedoc-Roussillon. The soil is made up of clay- limestone marl which retains humidity so the plant develops well and the aromatic freshness improves.

Serve as an aperitif, or with tapas, cold soups or grilled white meat.

Languedoc-Rousillon, France

The Languedoc is a vast region stretching across much of the south and Mediterranean and is France`s single largest vineyard entity for its Vins de Pays wines.

Within the Languedoc lie several distinctly identified Vins de Pays (including the l`Aude, Gard and Hérault) and many appellations that maintain traditional local blends and styles such as Minervois, Corbières, Pic Saint Loup and Fitou.

Grenache / Garnacha

Found throughout northern Spain and southern France, there are three variants: Grenache Noir, Blanc and Gris.

Grenache Noir is the most common. It is generally spicy, berry-flavored and soft on the palate. Complex and intense notes of blackcurrants, black cherries, black olives, coffee, gingerbread, honey, leather, black pepper, tar, spices, and roasted nuts can also be found.
