El Ninot de Paper Blanco 2025 is a fresh, vibrant white from Valencia, blending 70% Viura with 30% Sauvignon Blanc. The combination brings together Viura's soft texture with the lively aromatics and freshness of Sauvignon Blanc, creating an approachable wine that's perfect for everyday drinking.

Delicate floral aromas lead into flavours of citrus and crisp green apple. The palate is light, refreshing and gently fruity, finishing with bright acidity that leaves the wine clean and inviting.

The grapes are sourced from Murviedro's own vineyards and carefully selected partner growers around Utiel-Requena. After harvesting, the wine is fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel to preserve its fresh fruit character and vibrant aromatics.

The name El Ninot de Paper, meaning "The Paper Doll", is inspired by the colourful Las Fallas festival in Valencia, where elaborate artistic figures are created from papier-mâché before the city-wide celebrations culminate in spectacular bonfires. The distinctive label celebrates this important part of Valencian culture.

Fresh, uncomplicated and full of character, this is exactly the sort of white wine that belongs on the table with good food and good company.

Food Pairing

Serve chilled with paella, grilled seafood, salads, tapas or simply as an aperitif. Its crisp citrus character makes it an excellent companion to lighter Mediterranean dishes.

Sauvignon Blanc

Sauvignon Blanc is found all over the world, although it probably orignates from south west France, hence the name which comes from sauvage "wild" and blanc "white".

In cool climates it produces wines with flavours of grass, green peppers and nettles with some tropical fruit and floral notes. In warmer climates more tropical fruit notes such as peach are noticeable.

Valencia, Spain

Valencia divides into three geographically separate growing areas.

The vineyards near the coast have a Mediterranean climate, whereas those situated further inland have a continental climate. The hot summers and cold winters provide growers with many challenges, not to mention the threat of violent storms in late summer and autumn.

Macabeo/Viura

Macabeo, often called Viura, is planted throughout Spain (it is very popular in Rioja) and there are some small plantings in Southern France.

Expect to find aromas of white fruit coupled with floral and sometimes aniseed notes. Macabeo/Viura wines tend to be fresh with good acidity and combine well with seafood, vegetable dishes or cheeses.
