Piedmont
Piedmont, a region in northwestern Italy, is known for producing some of the world's finest wines. Its most famous wine is Barolo, made from the Nebbiolo grape and known for its tannic structure and long aging potential.
Another notable wine is Barbaresco, also made from Nebbiolo, but with a slightly softer character. Barbera is a widely planted grape variety, producing fruity and approachable wines. Gavi is a refreshing white wine made from the Cortese grape.
