Buying wine before it is bottled gives you the opportunity to secure allocations before they hit retail shelves. 2025 offers wines with real cellaring potential, but intense summer heat spikes meant that many regular names simply did not make our cut. Below is the focused collection we tasted, rated, and proudly stand behind.
"We are not looking for speculative assets or flashy labels. We look for balance, freshness, and the pure potential for future drinking pleasure at your table. If a wine is on this list, it is because we genuinely believe you will enjoy it."
— Dan Farrell-Wright, Wickhams
Why Buy Now?
It allows you to assess the vintage framework with full choice. Once bottled and shipped, many of these small, curated estate selections will not be easy to find again.
Personal Recommendation
We do the heavy lifting. If a wine felt masked by over-oaking or lacked the natural acidity to balance the 2025 heat, we left it off our list entirely.
Secure Cellaring
Prices are quoted per case of 6 bottles, ex-cellar. Your wine rests safely in professional bonded storage until it is mature and ready to come home to your cellar.
You buy the wine today at the exclusive opening release price. This price is "In Bond," meaning it excludes UK Duty and VAT. We register your allocation immediately with the Châteaux in Bordeaux.
Step 2
Maturation & Cellaring
The wine remains in France, ageing gracefully in oak barrels under the watchful eye of the winemakers. In 2 to 3 years, once bottling is complete, the cases are securely shipped over to our professional bonded warehouse in the UK.
Step 3
Delivery to Your Home
Once the wine arrives in the UK, you can choose to keep it in secure bonded storage, or have it delivered straight to your home. If you choose home delivery, the prevailing UK Duty and VAT will be calculated and invoiced just prior to dispatch.
