Stéphane Ogier has built a reputation as one of Côte Rôtie’s most highly respected winemakers. From the Domaine’s state-of-the-art winery in Ampuis, which boasts inspirational, panoramic views of the Côte, precision and attention to detail are key elements to his success. Stéphane’s wines have a seductive quality, being delicate yet concentrated and having beautiful, fine structures.

Le Temps est Venu (the time has come) Côtes du Rhône comes from two family-owned vineyards: one in Plan de Dieu, which gives more powerful, richer styles; complementing this, freshness and structure is contributed by grapes grown at higher altitude in the Visan commune.

A blend of 96% Grenache with 4% Syrah, this 2021 is bright, ruby in colour, aromas being fragrant and pure, recalling ripe strawberry, bramble fruits, with pleasing hints of garrigue herbs. The palate is full bodied, having excellent concentration, juicy, supple texture and a perfectly balanced, smooth finish. 

Pair this with roast leg of lamb.

Grenache / Garnacha

Found throughout northern Spain and southern France, there are three variants: Grenache Noir, Blanc and Gris. 

Grenache Noir is the most common. It is generally spicy, berry-flavored and soft on the palate. Complex and intense notes of blackcurrants, black cherries, black olives, coffee, gingerbread, honey, leather, black pepper, tar, spices, and roasted nuts can also be found.
