This Reserve Chardonnay features flavours of bright citrus, tropical fruit and warm buttered bread, with a rich, cream mouthfeel and an elegant finish. Long Barn Reserve Chardonnay is a medium to full-bodied wine, and stands as a great example of a classic, refined California Chardonnay multifaceted, versatile and designed to savour.

A historic drive down the California countryside brings you to the wines birthplace, winemakers Stefano Migotto and Valentina Guolo celebrate their humble beginnings in each bottle of wine. Like the old, long barn that gives the wine its name, they strive to preserve the regional character and agricultural charm of the winery and the land.

An excellent accompaniment to vegetable skewers and roasted rosemary chicken.

More Information

One of the world’s most popular grapes, Chardonnay is made in a wide range of styles from lean, sparkling Blanc de Blancs to rich, creamy white wines aged in oak.

Depending on how ripe the grapes get, the flavour ranges from crisp, clean citrus and green apple, to ripe peaches and tropical fruit. Notable Chardonnays can be found in France, California, Australia, England, and beyond.

The United States has a short winemaking history, but what it lacks in age it makes up for with vigour.

It is the 4th biggest wine producer in the world. Every state has some wineries. Good, cool climate styles come from New York state, Oregon and Washington State. Warmer styles are found in California where Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon lead the way.

Fior di Sole

Fior di Sole – “Flower of the sun” – is a family wine company owned by Stefano Migotto and Valentina Guolo. Their wines are "made with all that we are, reflecting all that we’ve come from."

Their state of the art winery and botling facility is located in the heart of Napa Valley, producing exceptional quality wines throughout California but mostly from Napa Valley, Sonoma and North Coast.

Quite good, not fruity or sweet.

A quality Chardonnay, more Burgundian than Californian, with good balance of fruit and acidity and a smooth vanilla finish.
