From vineyards overlooking the southern part of the Bassin de Thau, Louis Père et Fils consistently produce outstanding Cabernet Sauvignon. The hot summer of 2019 provided grapes with superb concentration.

The colour is dark ruby. The aromas are intense red fruit with bags of blackcurrant, cherry and hints of black pepper and leather. The palette is exceptionally persistence and the tannins are big. On the palette there are flavours of blackcurrant, pepper, cocoa, and that herbaceousness you find in really good cabernets.

This is an excellent wine which offers great value.

It would be the ideal match to a roast rib of beef.

Louis Père et Fils

After 160 years, Louis Père & Fils continues to blend innovation and tradition to produce extraordinary wines from three of the world’s most illustrious terroirs.

The house’s eponymous founder, Evgueni Louis Max, hailed from Georgia, which many believe is the birthplace of winemaking. He inherited his passion from his father, a wine merchant who had been a soldier in Tsar Alexander I’s army.

Cabernet Sauvignon

One of the world's most widely recognized red wine grape varieties. It is grown in nearly every major wine producing country among a diverse spectrum of climates from Australia and British Columbia, Canada to Lebanon's Beqaa Valley.

The classic profile is full-bodied with high tannins and noticeable acidity that contributes to aging potential.
