Nestled against the Jura Mountains are seven Appellations. Arbois (the oldest appellation in France), Côtes du Jura, L'Etoile, Château-Chalon, Macvin du Jura, Crémant du Jura and Marc du Jura. The grape varieties are: Chardonnay, Savagnin, Poulsard, Trousseau and Pinot Noir.
