A family business since the 18th Century, Château Béchereau has vineyards on three appellations of the "Right Bank" in the area of the Libourne vineyards. Over the generations, they have endeavored to create high quality wines which are reflective of their terroirs.
This is a classic, full-bodied Lalande de Pomerol made from a blend of Merlot (90%) and Cabernet Franc (10%).
Half of this French red wine is fermented in stainless steel before ageing in oak barrels for 12 months, the other half is fermented in oak.
This combination creates a classic, full-bodied claret with a good balance of black fruits, toasty notes and some sweet spice.
