In Stock & Ready To Ship!

This organic French red wine is made from 100% Marselan, a grape created by crossing Grenache and Cabernet Sauvignon, which provides an insight to what you should expect. The wine is an intense ruby red in colour with notes of fresh black fruits on the nose. It is soft and ripe on the palate and bursting full of blackberry and cherry flavours with an undertone of liquorice. The estate has been owned by the Biscaye family for five generations.

Silky tannins support this soft wine which finishes long and fruity.

Serve with hot grilled meats, cold meats, soft pate and hard cheese.

Languedoc-Rousillon, France

The Languedoc is a vast region stretching across much of the south and Mediterranean and is France`s single largest vineyard entity for its Vins de Pays wines.

Within the Languedoc lie several distinctly identified Vins de Pays (including the l`Aude, Gard and Hérault) and many appellations that maintain traditional local blends and styles such as Minervois, Corbières, Pic Saint Loup and Fitou.

Marselan

Marselan is a red French wine grape variety that is a cross between Cabernet Sauvignon and Grenache. It was first bred in 1961 by Paul Truel near the French town of Marseillan and is grown mostly in the Languedoc region.

Marselan berries are very small and thus the quantity of juice produced is limited. Marselan makes colourful, high quality wines. They are strong, aromatic, and age-worthy with soft tannins.
