Gewürztraminer is a unique grape variety, which is known and instantly recognisable. In this fresh, gastronomic version, the wine is spicy and floral, reminiscent of rose petals and lychees. It has a slightly sweet note that makes it wonderful to rediscover when paired with a meal. The aromatic power does not overpower - it's spicy, floral, and fruity, with notes of exotic fruits like ripe lychees. It's full-bodied with a harmonious balance between medium acidity and elegant sweetness.

Fans love to serve this wine as an aperitif. It also makes some surprising pairings - try it with dishes that have mild spices and fish or meat, or with more mature cheeses.

Lionel Reyser, Domaine Hubert Reyser

Lionel Reyser has taken on management of Domaine Hubert Reyser from his father Hubert. Born and raised on the vineyard, he has hardly spent a single day away from the fields. His passion for viticulture stems from his grandmother, who bought her first vineyard with her savings at the age of 14 and planted Gewürztraminer – a grape variety as generous and expressive as herself.

Gewürztraminer

Gewurztraminer (which literally means “spicy Traminer”) is the pink-colored mutation of the Savagnin Blanc variety. It has good potential for accumulating sugar and often makes high quality dry wines with moderate acidity which are strong, rich and relatively smooth.

Gewurztraminer's are generally marked by full-bodied mouthfeel and deeply flavoured long finish.
