Hubert Reyser Pinot Noir 2023, Alsace

£17.50 per bottle
In Stock & Ready To Ship!

This is a traditional Alsatian Pinot Noir. The nose reveals beautiful aromas of black fruits like blackberry, blackcurrant, and cherry, sometimes with hints of leather or vanilla.

The deep, dark red color shows garnet reflections. The ample and balanced palate restores the fruitiness of wild berries. Silky tannins structure the wine, giving it harmony and length.

The wine has a beautiful fruit character that falls between cherry and blackberry, with a lovely freshness on the palate.

This organic Pinot Noir pairs wonderfully with tarte flambée, grilled meats, quiches, or a nice Camembert cheese. It's a friendly, approachable red wine.

Lionel Reyser, Domaine Hubert Reyser

Lionel Reyser has taken on management of Domaine Hubert Reyser from his father Hubert. Born and raised on the vineyard, he has hardly spent a single day away from the fields. His passion for viticulture stems from his grandmother, who bought her first vineyard with her savings at the age of 14 and planted Gewürztraminer – a grape variety as generous and expressive as herself.

Pinot Noir

Pinot Noir is the holy grail grape for many winemakers, it is a difficult mistress, but when made well it shines.

Young Pinot Noir has delicious aromas of cherries, raspberries, and strawberries. With age it develops complexity and mystery. Older wines have the capacity to become a gamey style of wine, and the best examples show autumnal notes of truffles, mushrooms, and forest floor.
