For lovers of orange wines this aromatic skin-fermented muscat has a crisp, citrus filled palate with aromas of rose petal and almond. Orange wines are made by leaving the skins of white grapes, in this case muscat, in contact with the juice before and during fermentation. This wine was fermented on its skins for 7 days before pressing which has given the wine an orange or amber hue. This was followed by 4 months in old French barrels.

"An exquisite pale apricot wine that is beautifully fragrant" - Victoria Moore, The Telegraph Magazine

Pair this with white meats or lightly spiced foods.

Cornwall, England

Cornwall is incredibly bio-diverse. Woodlands, sun-kissed valleys and long coast lines are all present. Due to this diverse terroir, a diverse range of wines can be expected. Cornish winemakers today are producing everything from Rose to still red and white and sparkling wines.

Muscat

The muscat grape comes in many forms, the delicvate Muscat à Petit Grains, floral Muscat de Alexandria, and dark Muscat de Hambourg to name the three most popular varieties. In Spain it is produces rich Moscatel, whilst in Italy it is the grape used in wonderfully summery Moscato d'Asti.

Muscat produces the most "grapey" flavours of any wine grape (which so often taste of anything but grapes!)

Winemaker David Brocklehurst started with an allotment at the age of 13 and, from a vine cutting, grew 100kg of fruit. That passion has extended to producing light and fruity still wines, sparkling wine and vermouth.
