The vineyard overlooks the Bassin de Thau, the second largest lake in France, just inland from the Mediterrenean. The sea air adds a touch of salinity to this refreshing wine.

It has a pale golden colour. The nose has delicate aromas of exotic fruits, citrus and vanilla. This is carried through to the palette which is perfectly structured with a well integrated acidity.

Ideal to partner fresh seafood - oysters of course, langoustines and clams.

Louis Père et Fils

After 160 years, Louis Père & Fils continues to blend innovation and tradition to produce extraordinary wines from three of the world’s most illustrious terroirs.

The house’s eponymous founder, Evgueni Louis Max, hailed from Georgia, which many believe is the birthplace of winemaking. He inherited his passion from his father, a wine merchant who had been a soldier in Tsar Alexander I’s army.

Languedoc-Rousillon, France

The Languedoc is a vast region stretching across much of the south and Mediterranean and is France`s single largest vineyard entity for its Vins de Pays wines.

Within the Languedoc lie several distinctly identified Vins de Pays (including the l`Aude, Gard and Hérault) and many appellations that maintain traditional local blends and styles such as Minervois, Corbières, Pic Saint Loup and Fitou.

Chardonnay

One of the world’s most popular grapes, Chardonnay is made in a wide range of styles from lean, sparkling Blanc de Blancs to rich, creamy white wines aged in oak.

Depending on how ripe the grapes get, the flavour ranges from crisp, clean citrus and green apple, to ripe peaches and tropical fruit. Notable Chardonnays can be found in France, California, Australia, England, and beyond.

Laurent Max, Louis Père et Fils

The philosophy of Laurent Max has always been based on love and respect for the Burgundy region. Cultivation of the vines, control of yields, manual harvesting, and sorting of the grapes at full maturity. Everything is done to extract the delicacy and subtlety of Chardonnay, the finesse and elegance of Pinot Noir. This authentic know-how is the fruit of a unique experience matured over six Generations.
