Easy, uncomplex young, fruity Rioja. Nice chilled in the garden.
A vibrant young red Rioja made from 100% Tempranillo grapes. Joven translates as "young" and this style of Rioja is a fruity, simple, pleasing and very easy to drink. This has a very intense and bright violet-red colour. It is a contrast to more oaky styles of Rioja.
The wine is deliciously aromatic with aromas of wild blackberries and fresh cherries, which leap out of the glass. The palette is very pleasant and moreish. The overall sense if of freshness, with balanced acidity and good structure.
Pair this with stews, red meats, iberian sausages and cured cheeses.

Tempranillo has been grown on the Iberian Peninsula since the time of Phoenician settlements which date back to 500BC.
It is an early ripening variety that thrives on chalky soils. It is found predominantly in the Spanish regions of Ribera del Duero and Rioja. In Portugal it is known as Tinto Roriz. When vinified alone it has flavours of strawberries and plums.
A family run winery founded in 1990 in the village of Agoncillo. During this time, continual dedication and a passion for the wines they produce has been constant. Francisco is proud of every bottle that leaves his family winery.
