Volcanic soils and a maritime influence combine to impart a distinct elegance and mineral character upon the wines of Sicily. The wines are mostly made from idigenous varieties which have adapted perfectly to the conditions.

This Sicilian Etna Rosso red wine is made from a blend of Nerello Mascalese (80%) and Nerello Cappuccio (20%). The grapes are grown at an altitude of 650-750m above sea level on the slopes of Mount Etna where the volcanic soil give the wine a rustic smoky, earthy note. The palate has elegant redcurrant flavours combined with spices, liquorice and a balsamic note on the finish.

Excellent partner to Mediterranean specialities such as tomato based pasta dishes and full flavoured meats.

Elisa Trovato, Sentieri Siciliani

Elisa Trovato farms three hectares of vineyards in Trecastagni on the south side of Mount Etna. It is a sunny and high slope at 650 meters
above sea level. The vineyards are full of richness and passion, which is translated to the vines. Starting with 15-year-old espaliers and 35-50-year-old saplings, Elisa fell in love and made them her own.
